The 32 S&W was designed by the Union Metallic Cartridge Company as a black powder loading and was launched in 1878 for the Smith & Wesson pocket revolvers. It was a popular caliber, as can be seen by number of manufacturers both in Europe and the US offering loadings for it. (Erlmeier, Brandt Ref. 331).

The case length on this round is 13.5mm making it about 1mm shorter that the 32 S&W, so it should be interchangeable. The headstamp is Ceллie и Ьeллo Pиra 320 (Sellier & Bellot Prague)
