The .30R Blaser was developed by gun manufacturer Blaser and ammo company Ruag Ammotec in 1991. The idea behind the design was to give hunters the benefit of the vast numer of .30cal bullets available in a drilling/single shot or combination rifle/shotgun. (Dixon Ref. W63)
