This was one of a number of various small to medium internally primed cartridges for use in Walking Stick type guns, with the 9mm being the largest of the series. The raised BB is thought to be for “B. Boulanger”, who was a French arms manufacturer during the late 19th century. (Dixon Ref. FR95).
