This was a 2024 development by Federal as a high-performance, all-range cartridge that that provides superior ballistics and terminal performance than its main rivals, the 28 Nosler, 7mm Rem Mag and the 7mm PRC. It uses Federal’s patented Peak Alloy case, which can withstand higher pressures (up to 80,000 psi) than traditional brass cases, (up to 65,000 psi) for the 7mm PRC.
