An interesting fact about the 8mm Krag-Jorgensen rifle is that even though it was invented in Norway by Captain Ole Hermann Johannes Krag, director of the Royal Manufactory of Arms at Kongsberg, and gunsmith Erik Jorgensen,the county that first adopted it for military service was Denmark in 1889.
