9mm GASSER-KROPATSCHEK M.1876

On the page featuring the 11.3x36R Gasser, there is a discussion on the history of the revolvers of Leopold and Johann Gasser. To supply the Austro-Hungarian Infantry officers with a lighter weapon than the mammoth 11mm Gasser, they turned to the services of Capt. Alfred Kropatschek and together with Johan Gasser they designed the Infanterie-Offiziers-Revolver M.1876, better known as the “Gasser-Kropatschek,” in 9mm caliber, which was merely a downsized version of the M. 1870/74. (Erlmeier, Brandt Ref. 123).
